Thursday, March 26th, 5pm
Oran Mor Meade (across the street from Plural)
8011 SE 13th Ave, Portland, OR 97202)
• The first 4 people to sign up will get their first glass of mead on me!
• Workshop fee covers all supplies/materials including a print out of tips, resources and a list of local native nurseries.
• Open for all levels (minimum age is 10).
• Space is limited to 10 people, please sign up by March 23rd
I love cross-pollinating with local businesses! We’ll build a mini-habitat & learn about honey vs native bees while enjoying their delicious mead (I’m converted!) & snacks! It’ll be a sweet learning time for the local businesses & habitat! It’s a win-win!
This one-hour workshop will cover a short presentation on the versatility of native plants, basic planting, floral design composition techniques and then have fun decorating our centerpieces with moss, branches, and mushroom, insect or bird faux decorations.
You will walk away with your own unique mini-habitat tabletop garden with information, care instructions, tips, and resources!
You'll feel empowered and inspired to incorporate native plants to your container gardening especially for those who live in an apartment with a balcony.
If you took this class already, you can take this workshop again and gift it to someone special for Earth Day!
All supplies & materials are included.
Here’s the workshop timeline:
Introduction & brief talk about native plants
Land acknowledgment
Guided hands-on/creation on basic planting & floral design composition techniques/decorating
NO REFUND FOR CANCELLATION 5 DAYS BEFORE THE WORKSHOP DATE (STORE CREDIT ONLY).
Please email me if you have any questions: weina@poppyandfinch.com
