On July 3rd, Congress passed Trump's Big Bullsh*t Bill—stripping care from millions while handing billions to the rich which affects 3 million+ families will struggle to put food on the table. That’s why I’m partnering with Portland Fruit Tree Project for this workshop because they envision joyful communities that see every fruit tree as an abundant resource which contributes to a just food system and enhances the well-being of people, community networks, habitat, and our changing climate.

My moss ball/kokedama workshop is a grounding experience where you connect to like-minded community, soil, moss, and living things—not in theory, but with your body. You’ll learn, create, get tactile with your hands—and you’ll leave with something alive to care for as a grounding tool to come back to the present moment. It’s not the whole solution. But it’s a first step. A beautiful, meaningful one.

🌱 Come reconnect. Create. Remember what you’re fighting for and it’s a beginning.

You’ll learn how to create and care for a striking and unique Japanese moss ball. The workshop includes all the materials for assembling your moss ball, a step-by-step breakdown of the process, and helpful care tips for keeping your creation happy and healthy.

You can choose between PNW Native plants for outdoor (preferably, under a covered shade area so it can attract beneficial insects to your garden) and tropical plants for indoor only (bright indirect light). You also have a choice between creating a tabletop or hanging one during the workshop.

You will walk away with a hand-out about native plants, kokedama, tips & resources on how to become the steward for our habitat!

Please sign up by July 17th for me to gather supplies/materials. Space is limited to 12 people; 1 person per registration.
